"Staff both on reception and in the dining room were helpful, although at dinner we had to wait a long time before the food arrived. The main problem was that although the hotel wasn’t fully booked we were given a room (room 7) right on the very noisy road, over the bar and the outdoor festoon lights were on all night which filtered into the room. Had we stayed a second night we would have asked to be moved!"

"We had a fantastic stay here in one of the new deluxe rooms. The room was incredibly comfortable, very well furnished and spotlessly clean with a large bathroom. The staff were all friendly and helpful. "We found the interior design to be inventive and beautiful. The hotel is a joining of 12 (?) different houses and getting around can feel like one is in a maze. As an older couple, they gave us a room we could get to, avoiding stairs and gave us a great view. The modern bathroom had to be a bit cramped to accommodate the many mergings of houses. "A lovely stay spoilt on the last day. After handing our room key back, the receptionist ran after us and accused us of not paying, despite me paying 2 weeks beforehand! They apologised and blamed Expedia for the mixup. It was rather embarrassing, so hey guys - Dont bother booking through Expedia!!"
