"This is a charming little place and we really enjoy staying here whenever we are in this part of Michigan. The receptionist seems like he’d rather be anywhere else but working and is not very friendly. The gift shop is also a mess and full of clutter. Otherwise, we really like it. They provide ice from a cooler and wine openers if you are in need. Parking slots are oddly designed, but convenient. Restaurants and like Phil’s and The Southerner are delicious. For fun, rent a bike and ride around...
"Book early during summer...we booked the last room available at the Belvedere. Great owner/place, service, cocktails and best dinner we had. Not so fortunate on the last room of choice as it was on third floor a super squeaky bed which led to an uncomfortable night sleep.
All in all, a great place!"

"My family of 4 stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for a 4 day swim meet in the area. The room size was perfect and the beds were comfortable. Everything was clean, the staff was friendly, and breakfast had a wide selection. It was in a good area of town - quiet, safe, and within close distance to activities. We were very happy with the stay. I did hear a train in the 7AM hour every morning but the rest of my family did not. We would definitely stay here again!"
"We brought our 3 grandchildren and stayed for 3 days. Everything about this hotel was excellent! It was extremely clean, the lobby, room, breakfast area and the pool! The entire staff was very friendly and went out of their way to provide a great visit for all of the visitors. The pool area is well laid out and very clean. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend The Hampton Inn and we will be back for sure! "
