"I stayed only a few nights and had wonderful experience. Place is relatively easy to find - this relaxing walk through the green park was a big joyful bonus. Very clean room, comfy bed, good shower. Attention to detail in any aspect. So, it was a real pleasure to return to my room after spending a day in a busy town. Thank you Fiona and Ricardo for making my stay so special. I won't hesitate to rebook again."

"Very helpful staff who provided excellent service and the room was comfortable. However the hotel patrons were rowdy and public areas like the toilets in the common area were dirty. The people in the room next to us were loudly talking into the early hours of the night which was so frustrating, so we didn't sleep well. But not the fault of the hotel. "

"A good but not outstanding stay. The staff are polite and welcoming, the rooms are comfy and clean. The shower pressure was dreadful though and the TV didn’t seem to have streaming services (if it did they weren’t easy to find). There was no bottled water in the room and the kettle/tea making stuff was cheap. For this kind of price point I’d expect a few more luxuries, but it was a perfectly good place to stay in York."

"The room was meant to be soundproof but could hear next door for starters, then we seen it wasn’t a king size bed but two single beds put together which wasn’t very comfortable to say the least. Also two of the rooms I’d say are used for permanent residence. Then passing pedestrians through the night was noisy was irritating to say the least. We couldn’t work the heating system for the room. "

"clean room, but the shower was broken to begin with, but fixed after 20 minutes, and loud, drunk guest at 2 am one night, which kept me up for 3 hours, but I did not say anything at the time, with i would not want to deal with such people at 2 am, so can not blame them with just wanting to sleep at the time and did not do anything my self. "Last minute booking for a cheeky overnight sojourn in York. First time visit, slightly out of the centre, but close to frequent bus service. Traditional hotel, spotlessly clean, with a few creaking bits. Special mention for the excellent receptionist, Jessica. Good value for money and will definitely be back!"

"Good location 15 mins walk to centre along the river. Clean rooms and adaquite kitchen. Free morning pastries was a basket full of plain croissants not alot of choise there. Coffee machine was broke but hot water and coffee available in its place. We just made one in our room. Lovely veiw over the river."
