Rooms are spacious and clean with great amenities. The staff are excellent and the bar and restaurant areas are excellent

Very helpful staff, very good food indeed for dinner in the restaurant. Their 17th Century main building is very interesting. They have a large car park . At night there is no road traffic noise. The bedroom heating and the electric bathroom towel rail didn't respond to the controls so both rooms were cold. The ceiling lighting was very inadequate and the bed's mattress felt cheap, Despite the issues I would stay here again.

Two great nights in June.

What a hidden gem the Black Bull Inn is. Lovely private and very comfortable accommodation. Breakfast that was included was tremendous and the two evening meals we had were so great and tasty. The super friendly and helpful staff made the stay perfect. We will certainly return when we are next visiting from Australia.

Comfortable place to stay

Very comfortable and spacious modern rooms in a block to the side of the pub so quiet too. A huge bed. Staff were very good, with special thanks to Luke.

Would stay again

This motel style accommodation is convenient and easy to access. The building housing the accommodation is right beside the pub. Lovely big room with comfortable superking size bed. Breakfast included, served in pub. If you have time, its worth wandering in the sweet village. Look out for the thatched cottages with cute detailing on the roof.

Great place

Second time staying here in last 3 months. Great service, great staff and great food. Highly recommended. Guy behind bar also remembered me from last time. Happily stay again!!!

Special_Dietary friendly, Cambridge Inn

Excellent Food with, importantly, a gluten free option. Fantastic breakfast. Clean room. Warm. Friendly folk. Nice open wood-fire. Good beers. Nice location. Relaxed. We thoroughly recommend it.

Lovely place and staff

Place and staff were really really nice, only let down was the mattress. Could feel the springs and even see them as sat on the bed. Other than that a great place and easy fix

Disappointing

The room hadn't been cleaned properly before arrival as the floor was dirty and hair everywhere, even in the bed! The restaurant was closed for the evening and although we paid for breakfast in the booking, nothing was provided as the pub was still closed. The pub, rooms and location were fine but just let down by minor details that could have been easily rectified.

One night stay asked on arrival what time I wanted breakfast and was told anytime after 7.30 would be available . So I went for 8.am went down for breakfast at 7.55 and there was no one there place was all locked up. Butcher delivery man tuned up went round to kitchen and came back saying no one in place kitchen has not been opened. So packed my van to leave. While packing, front door of pub / restaurant opened it was now 8.20am with chef coming out saying we were told breakfast was for 8.15. Rubbish service rubbish comunication

These comments are not for publication but rather for Expedia to consider how they rate the Inn. When we arrived at 8.30pm the Car Park was full, so it was a surprise that no-one was in pub. We never saw another guest during our stay. It felt that the business was struggling. A bit too quiet. Staff were ok. Room facilities were ok including a very comfortable large bed. A little disappointed that we had to ask for the heating to be put on in the room after we arrived. The heating had not gone on when we awoke in the morning so the room was quite cold. We would have liked there to have be another spare blanket. The Towel rail in the bathroom never went on , so the towels had not been able to dry and the bathroom was cold in the morning. The bath/shower water was fine. The breakfast menu arrangement was unusual. We had to select every item we wished to eat from a menu which had the price for each item. So it discouraged selecting many items. It was expensive to have a charge of £26.20 for just 2 Baps (containing sausage, bacon and fried egg) + 1 coffee each. Service was good Overall we were disappointed and would be unlikely to book again.
