The room was absolutely stunning and the actual hotel is itself it lovely! What an amazing old building! That being said the staff although attentive & doing their job could have a little bit more of a friendly approach, no one was rude or anything like that, but also being greeted without so much as a smile is a bit bizarre. Would definitely stay again & recommend!

Lovely old Inn, room at the top of the main building was spotless. Bar and lounge areas great for a drink. Staff all very friendly. Breakfast excellent. Only downsides were lack of evening food options and pricey car parking.

The room was very warm and comfortable with tea, coffe, bottled water and biscuits. Check in was seemless. Beautiful bar area with cocktail happy hour 6 to 7pm and free cheese and biscuits. Breakfast was excellent eith friendly attentive staff. Would definitely stay here again and strongly recommend. Thanks for a wonderful stay 😊

Good breakfast, although I would have preferred fried egg instead of scrambled eggs but that's trivial. Comfortable bed in my room and a decent shower area. Staff are pleasant and polite. If I need to stay in Canterbury, my first option will be The Falstaff Hotel again.

Lovely old building, good toiletries in bathroom. Vegan breakfast was good, decaf coffee stood out as excellent. Happy hour for guests between 6-7 which was handy before a night out, 2 for 1 on certain drinks. Downside, room too hot so had to open window in night, then heard glass bins getting emptied at 3.40am and others slightly later.

Had a lovely stay whilst visiting the Christmas Market. Hotel was lovely and the bar staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plenty and freshly cooked. On the day we were due to depart we noticed a plaque of ants around the socket area and in the bed, we did report this to reception when checking out, only to find out the couple in the room next door also had ants. We all left there feeling very itchy.
