"Hoped to stay in old part, not quite the same atmosphere in newer section! Toilet was dirty and mud on floor on arrival. Ordered cheese pasty and got a meat one! Too late to change. Fish and chips were excellent, small portion plenty for each of us. A lovely place to stay, recommend read Daphne DuMauriers book. Great position to explore both coast lines. "

"The staff were great but the rooms were a bit cramped especially the bathrooms. There were problems with television reception breaking up. The hotel is in a nice location and the food was fine."

"I was told there was no hotel parking, only street spaces or in Port Isaac—a ten-minute walk away. Luckily, we parked nearby, but later found there was poorly signposted hotel parking with just eight spaces. Better communication would have helped. Parking in Port Isaac is pay and display, up a steep hill, so dropping off luggage first is wise. The room lacked a TV, but actually this was an absolute blessing and it made change not to reach for a remote control. "Despite the 1960s look from the front and the scaffolding this hotel is built into the side of the hill is a hidden gem. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The food was excellent and the views of Mawgan Porth were stunning even in the unpleasant weather that we had. Really enjoyed the spa too. Even the Yogi tea that was on offer. Would definitely stay there again"

"Immensely impressive restoration of one of Britain's iconic buildings. The food in the restaurant was amongst the best I have tasted, however, although very friendly and attentive, the staff in the Restuarant would benefit from more training. The EV charging points were most welcome but were inconsistent and failed regularly. Loved the atmosphere generated by the property and would stay again if in the area"

"Mat and Wolfie made our stay at the Wellington wonderful! Both were helpful with suggestions for hikes and food. We had long conversations with each. The pub had a nice fire,and Wolfie was kind, hospitable, and intriguing. Mat helped us find the most perfect room as we were walkins arriving just before dinner. He told us stories and laughed and enjoyed our interest in the area. It was definitely one of our most favorite stays in the UK. The hotel is charming and a quintessential UK pub hotel....
