"No sink to wash your hands in the shared toilet. Shower tray was dirty. The breakfast wasn’t cooked properly leaving un edible. The manager to great delight in showing off her parrot as she had taught it to say, profanities."

"Great staff, great food, great WiFi, great shower, plenty of parking and very clean throughout. Everything was great."

"TV and Shower didn't work, there is no air conditioning or Wifi available in the building. The hotel is pretty old and well overdue its imminent refit at the end of the season. Location is 10/10 right by st ives train station overlooking the bay. Quite noisy at night and the rooms get extremely hot even with windows open and fan blowing (we stayed end of June it wasnt even that hot outside!)"

"It was full of character and a lovely place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful. Beware of one of the roads into the area, it can be very narrow. Always plan using the other two entrances/exits. Nice welcome gift too."

I was not provided with full address details to access the accommodation, the host's telephone number appeared to be disconnected, and emails to the host went unanswered. Despite multiple contacts with Expedia before travelling, Expedia was able to provide the information required to gain access...

"Lovely hotel, staff friendly."

"A nice hotel in quiet surroundings. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool was a nice addition to our stay. Only drawback was it was a distance from the seafront - a long walk up and down hills. Local taxi service was good though and relatively cheap. Breakfast was good with some nice specials to order if you didn't fancy the buffet."

"Location location location. It is right in St Ives on the beach. Work out facilities were dated. Loud music playing with no consideration for guests working out. The restaurant is not a destination. Many other better options in the area. A watch out. If traveling with lots of luggage get ready for a strenuous pilgrimage from the train to the hotel up a winding path with stairs."

"The Pod was amazing, we don’t think the photos do it justice! We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and would love to visit again. Kevin and Michelle have thought of everything and were excellent with communicating details for directions and check in/out times. The location is brilliant, so close to St Ives and Carbis Bay, and the main bus route is right on the main road. Would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here. "
