"We stayed 1 night and did not use any of the facilities or eat there.
The room we stayed in was great. A really comfortable super kibg sized bed, massive wslk in shower, good tea and coffee facilities in our room. It was quiet, so we had a good nights sleep (just what we wanted).
I would stay again. "

"room was not cleaned. The bed was left dirty from the previous occupant, a sanitary wrapper was on the bed, toilet was soiled, wet towels on the bed, dirty drinks cups. No room change could be offered, I requested refund which I was told needed to come from Expedia. I have now emailed Expedia 3 times and await their verdict on whether they will refund my money. "

"Positives - beautiful hotel in great grounds. Had tea in the restaurant which was very good. Bed was huge.
Negatives - couldn't get bath to work and my wife was kept awake during the night by noise in room next door. Use of the spa was £20 per person (which I was willing to pay) but was then told we couldn't use it until 5pm. We'd arrived at 3pm with plan to go in spa before our friends arrived later. "

"The bathroom was dirty, the toilet seat wasn't on straight. Blood on the bed sheet. Staff were not interested and unhelpful.
We had to pay to park at the hotel when we arrived.
We thought we would try to spa and we also had to pay for that. We asked for towels in the spa and the staff just shrugged and said there wasn't any.
The changing rooms were dirty and no lockers to put valuables.
The steam room was set at the temperature of the sun and the sauna wasn't on "

"Staff, service and food were excellent. Exactly when you'd come to expect from a Holiday Inn. Sadly however the room looked tired and in need of some much needed TLC with a distinct lack of beside plugs and although the room was at far end of the building and away from general foot traffic it was right above the air handling units and plant so was noisey at night.
The pool and locker rooms werent much better. The locker room was dirty (however, it was late in the day) and there was a nasty...
