"Positives - beautiful hotel in great grounds. Had tea in the restaurant which was very good. Bed was huge. Negatives - couldn't get bath to work and my wife was kept awake during the night by noise in room next door. Use of the spa was £20 per person (which I was willing to pay) but was then told we couldn't use it until 5pm. We'd arrived at 3pm with plan to go in spa before our friends arrived later. "

"Arriving late in the evening the foyer was a somewhat daunting experience. It gave the impression that there could be various dubious activity going on in a number of rooms. The noise was loud all night. We didn’t get a key to our room. Big gap in door frame and we felt unsafe. Would never stay again "

"Stayed here in February. Check-in was quiet, staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was number 5 and was beautiful with modern equipment. It nice and warm in our room throughout our stay. No need to go out, just get parked and have your evening meal in the pub/restaurant, I can recommend the fish & chips. If you are looking for accommodation in this area, I would definitely recommend Pack Horse. "

"Had exactly what i needed for my stay: Great Location Nice Comfortable Bed Nice compact shower Wasn't expecting anything else & it had everything i expected. Staff were friendly when checking in. Due to close by tram line, it can be somewhat noisy at times but its not all the time so you should be fine all things considered. Overall good value for money, next time I'm in the area I'll definitely be staying here again."

"We paid for an upgrade but it was a fairly standard room with a view of the car park. Having said that, the staff were very pleasant, the room was clean, bed comfortable and an excellent power shower. Buffet style breakfast was delicious with additional items freshly prepared if requested. I would happily stay again."

"perfect start to any break. the staff were helpful and the bar was great. we ate an evening meal in the bar area, good choice and given the location, not overpriced. the room was fab, the bed as super comfortable, there was everything you needed in the room, even a steamer to make you presentable for on wards travel. the best bit had to be the fact the the room is so quiet. we had an early, the hotel was really busy with families in particular, but we didn't hear a peep!
