"When we arrived the previous guests items were still in the refrigerator. The room could’ve been cleaner. It was very run down in great need of an update. The sent desk was very nice when I told her about the refrigerator and immediately came to clear it out. Didn’t spray it out or anything, just threw the items away. Super close to sequoia so that was nice. The shower was dark so hard to even see if it was clean but the pressure was good enough. AC was simply a dirty unit in the window but…at least they had that, I guess?"
"Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean but floors left my socks black. Nice shower. We had a sewer back-up in our shower after our first night and the hotel moved us to a different room."
"Excellent stay/location. Loved the location, the pool, the fireplace. The clubhouse was very comfortable. Nice that they had water/hot water/coffee available at all times. Prices for food of the restaurant were very reasonable. Staff were all kind, polite, helpful."
"It was a good lodge. Pity they only started the fire in the lobby at 6 pm when it was snowing outside. Fun experience doing puzzles in the. Lobby as the tv in the room wasn’t working because of the snow. Restaurant nearby was so so."
"Checkin was smooth, location great. The room however much to be desired considering the price, especially ceiling plaster which was literally falling off."
"Staff, meals, parking, clean room, and location to Kings Canyon and Sequoia are all rated 5. The reason for the 4 is the size of the room and bathroom--very limited moving area or storage area. We knew this going in but wanted a close stay to the parks. Two adults each with a suitcase and overnight bag, we had to use the only chair and nightstand to hold suitcases. Very helpful improvements would be 1) in the open closet install shelf and hanging bar on the other--somewhere handy to put stuff. 2) bathroom had one shelf--add one or two above or below the existing shelf. 3) The upper bed would greatly benefit with a shelf on the wall or attached to the bedframe."
"Beautiful surroundings and delicious food!
We used the tennis courts and played basketball also. It was a but chilly fir swimming so we didn't use the pool or take a canoe out on the lake.
The lakeside room was nicely furnished with comfortable beds."
