"Nice convenient place to stay in town. Check in was awesome. The theme is cool and they keep to it. Breakfast convenient and great service good food. A little noisy at night but it’s on a main road so not surprised. Housekeeping storage and the laundry room was also across from our room too so they also added some noise"

"The Arbutus Inn is a jewel. This property is fully renovated with a beautiful lobby, new carpets in hallways and the rooms are well appointed with new floors/carpets and bathrooms/kitchenette. The location is just north of downtown Victoria and offered a quiet overnight The staff were super and arrival and departure were both quick and very helpful. "The room was ok but it has carpet stains and so with bed sheets and pillow case. Definitely needed renovations and thorough checking. Checking in was not great as we have to wait for 30 minutes as they are still cleaning the room. Staffs were helpful."

"Beautiful place to stay. The highlight is the breakfast prepared by a chef, and the lovely deer that were grazing outside. It’s also a short walk up the street to the lieutenant governor’s residence with the lovely walking trails and Craigdarroch castle."

"We had a fantastic stay. The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was SO comfortable, which we really appreciated after a long day of travel and appointments. We slept for 12 hours and could have spent the entire day in bed if we had the time. Location is outstanding. Staff were very professional and friendly. We loved our stay and plan on booking again when we return!"

"Splendid facility , immaculately clean with an extraordinary helpful staff that never stopped asking us if we needed anything else. Gold Level service allowed us a sumptuous free breakfast and an afternoon snack bar that substituted for dinner a number of times. We swam in the Health Club pool every morning and then head up for breakfast down the hall from our room. No view for us, but other rooms certainly had one. Expensive, but you get your money worth."

"Terrible pillows"

"I have been frequenting Victoria for so many years for work and have never even considered Helm's Inn nor even really heard of it? I was attending a conference and choices were limited and Helm's Inn came up. I booked it and can't say enough about it! The suites were modern, super clean, the room I had was very quit, parking was charged by VERY reasonable, walking distance to the heart of everything! I will be staying there a lot more from now on!"
