"This is a delightful old home which has been a Bed and Breakfast since 1987. I loved the wraparound porch. Room was spacious enough. Breakfast was nice: yogurt w granola and fresh fruit; croissant; 7-minute boiled eggs...same each day. I wanted to use the croquet set but we never quite got to it. "We have stayed at the Ruby River several times the last few years and enjoy it every time. The rooms and entire facility are clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful and the restaurant food is delicious. We also enjoy the walking path along the river immensely."

"We liked the gated parking lot with cameras and security that went through every 2 hours. Breakfast was fresh and plenty. Staff was very pleasant. Our TV control would not work and after their efforts of an hour we had to change rooms. They couldn’t composite us as we booked through Expedia."

"The Valet and restaurant staff were both excellent. The front counter staff and house keeping were horrible. Two out of five nights the housekeepers never cleaned our room or brought us fresh towels. When we called the front desk they were uninterested and of no help at all. The property is getting dated and the management and service for the price has left the building."

"This is a great location for anyone wanting to be near the Hospital District, close to downtown and close to amenities on the South Hill. There is plenty of parking, the room was clean and well laid out. The complimentary breakfast was very good, biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs and fried potatoes, toast, muffins, cold cereal, water, coffee, tea, and assorted juices."

"It is a very nice hotel. We had a couple of spiders in our room, which wasnt a deal breaker...but odd. Our bedding had mascara type stains on them too, which bothered me."

"Room not ready at check in time. Then wrong room given. Staff at check in not approachable and charged out parking incorrectly. I did go back the next day and a new staff member was very helpful and reversed the charges. Hotel is overall beautiful. We prefer the Davenport Grand for future."

It made it easier on my 85 YO Mom.we did not use the hot tube or pool so we don't have a response on them. The staff was great! They even helped me find a stellar locksmith to open our truck after I locked the key in it. They showed up promptly & got us back on the road with only a 30 min total delay -...
