"The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The AC was controlled by wall thermostat. The bathroom was clean and modern. Unfortunately, housekeeping was lacking. We checked in on a Monday and left Friday. During that time, housekeeping came in once to make the beds and freshen the room. "We usually stay at the Embassy Suites when we travel to Charleston. They have free breakfast and it is good. The rooms are bigger and the price is very similar so for the Holiday Inn to be competitive they are going to have to change some things drastically."

"I had a bit of an issue on check-in, however, the staff resolved it quickly. It seemed that my first room, while very nice, and clean, had a door that would not open easily from either side. To the room and open the door and everything was fine. He remarked that he would be getting a hold of maintenance very soon to get the other rooms doors repaired."
