"Comfortable bed in a quaint budget room with lavatory, but shower/toilet rooms down the hall. Good window A/C unit. Very quiet. My room was on the 3rd floor reached by fairly narrow and steep stairs, so be ready. Good free limited breakfast, free snacks at other times. Very helpful staff. Free parking in a small lot behind the hotel (no huge vehicles), plus overflow in a lot the next street over, and street parking just outside. Fast food options around the corner (only open to 9 PM), and...

"Although the staff is fantastic I couldn't see anything has been fixed or updated in years. Although using a physical key for your room is quaint, it is not up to date. Our door had a .75 inch gap at the bottom. Add to that the fact that the bathroom has a vaulted ceiling that let every ounce of heat from the uninsulated ceiling into the room, the miniature window air conditioner ran non stop at over 90 decibels. We had to run the shower for five minutes before any hit (tepid) water started...

"We totally loved the decor of Hotel Ruby Marie!! It was so quaint and took us back in time. There were a number of cobwebs hanging around the room, but I cleaned them up. The other problem was that the window A/C left an opening at the top of the window, so we had quite a few bugs in the room. Those were a nuisance, but Hubby stuffed one of the towels into the opening. That helped. Also, we had a heck of a time getting the t.v. to work ... the picture would not come on. Luckily my husband kept...
