"Wonderful hotel, very atmospheric with large rooms. Location is decent but parking can be a challenge if it’s busy. Note - this property is from 1834 so has no elevator and is not ADA friendly if you have a walking disability. This is more awareness than a negative since its charm is its age."

"very nice place. comfortable bed. windows allow fresh air, although there is some noise from restaurant and bar guests outside till close to midnight. really liked roofdeck with ocean views, ideal for a sundowner. one thing that I missed was a water kettle in room. breakfast only starts 7.30 and a tea/coffee before that time would have been great."

"We stayed in the Hemingway house which is a free standing structure but public walkways are right outside so for privacy, the blinds need to stay shut which makes it dark.We enjoyed the pool. Pool towels were available in the office. There was no place to hang extra wet clothes or towels in the unit so we hung them on the porch railing. Be aware that access to the bathroom is through the bedroom, if anyone is sleeping on the pull out couch. Parking was fine in March-April, we could always find a...

"Had an awesome stay here! We were surprised by an upgrade when we checked in (thank you so much Robert!) and had a great view of the valley and mountains. The breakfast which was included was great. Will definitely sta here again."

"Parking was secure and easy, room was nice but very hot when we got there - it took a long time to cool it down but eventually by bedtime, it did cool down. House is very nice and clean and host Patricia is very friendly and welcoming."

"The location couldnt have been better for our visit to Harvard. We were within walking distance of everything.Busline and trains were also right near. There are 4 stories and no elevator which was alot with our luggage. The stairs were steep. Breakfast had a nice variety. The rooms were acceptable. The staff was very friendly."

"Wir Wurden Mega süß beim Check in empfangen. Auch ein Check in nach 20 Uhr wäre problemlos möglich gewesen mit Code System. Zimmer waren sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber. Direkt vor dem Zimmer kann man parken. Frühstück wurde bereits im Zimmer fertiggestellt. Einige Kommentare finden es zu wenig aber wir fanden es ausreichend. Notfalls kann man einen Abend zuvor beim Walmart (15 min mit dem Auto) einkaufen. Wir sind früh am Morgen weiter Richtung Death Valley gefahren. "

"The 1906 Lodge was the cleanest, nicest, and most amazing stay I’ve had anywhere. The staff is amazing and make you feel they are there just for you! I will stay here everytime I visit San Diego. I wouldn’t change anything about the hotel. I recommend the 1906 Lodge to everyone. "
