So we are very experienced Mexico travelers. Everything from Hotels to rentals. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and shown different rooms. The Hotel concierge was amazing. She was polite and welcoming getting us in the rooms quickly as we were two couples. The grounds were beautiful, maintained, rooms were clean, and great beds. Had a great time. We did have to wake up staff to get in the Hotel when coming back after midnight. We booked the rooms for us and a another couple. I do not speak Spanish very well but my friend does. When checking out he spoke Spanish and all was ok. With me and my wife the Male concierge told me we left a dirty pillow and need to pay $200 pesos. We refused and my wife showed the maid it is just make up and washes off. They agreed and we left. 6 hours later we were notified that they charged us $1300 pesos to replace a sheet, a pillow case and a towel. There were no stains on anything at all. They would not answer our calls or messages. THIS WAS IN EVERY WAY DELIBERATE THEFT AND TARGATED AT NON SPANISH SPEAKING GUESTS MADE US FEEL HORIBLE. It is unfortunate that actions of certain staff can ruin a great time and a great location would never go back
