"Everything about the place was a fail. We stayed at the hotel to attend a funeral. We wanted to rest beforehand, but there was some sort of drilling going on reverberating through the entire hotel all afternoon. Not much worked in the room. The tv got only half the stations it was supposed to. The iron worked sporadically. The shower didn’t drain. To complain to the front desk was futile. "Great value in the D.C. area. Initially paid for overnight garage parking, but there were no spots in the lot. Returned the tag, and was refunded the fee. There are usually overnight spots available in the neighborhood, but just something to keep in mind. It looks like the garage is undergoing repairs."

The afternoon man at the desk was rude. Had to wait for him to finish watching a video on his phone before he’d help me. "

"Literally home away from home! This hostel/hotel is made up of three converted walk-ups. There are hostel-style rooms with multiple beds, and there are hotel-style rooms with bed and full bathroom. The room I stayed in had a very tall window that could be opened. Logistically speaking: there is a Safeway within a few blocks that’s open late. If you prefer Trader Joe’s, that’s an easy walk in the other direction. Two large refrigerator/freezers will accommodate your groceries, which you label...
