The foldout mattress on the sofa was not comfortable. The was a broken chair not replaced. Other than that the staff were awesome.

The hotel is a bit old. The bed is ok, too soft for me. There is nothing outside of the hotel. For staying 1 night before our early flight is fine. The instructions for the airport shuttle should be more clear. We didn’t know Park N Jet is a parking lot. By the time we got there, we told the driver that we are going to the hotel. He was angry that we didn’t told him ahead.

First room given had not been cleaned. Bedding still on the floor. Second room was clean enough to sleep in my clothes. The key fabs were not working. So in order to get in/out of room, needed Front Desk staff to accommodate that. Felt like a teenager. Hotel had a terrible cigarette smell. Overall disgusting experience.

The shuttle driver that Sonesta uses that took me to the hotel was absolutely horrible. Completely rude and rushed me unlike the other guests. I was very kind and polite but he acted short and very cross with me for no reason. It got so bad to the point where I snapped back & then when I was dropped off, he tried to be polite to me but at that point it was already too late. That was the start to a terrible stay here. Upon arriving, I was told that even though I pre-paid, I had to pay a $150 deposit which I never received an email for even though the front desk staff told me they send out emails about the deposit before arriving. Again. I never received that email. The room I had looked clean when I walked through the door, but the kitchen area was gross and the trash cans both in the room & the bathroom hadn’t been emptied from the previous person staying there. There were food stains and reside still left on the utensils and on the cabinets, stains and hair all in the bathroom and a blocked up toilet that I told staff about, but nothing was done to rectify the issues. The only good thing about this stay was me leaving. I will never recommend this place to anyone and will never come back.

Terrible customer service! My flight was unexpectedly canceled, and I had to rebook my trip. I tried calling the hotel many times and could never reach anyone. When I finally did, they told me to contact Expedia. Expedia then tried calling repeatedly and also couldn’t get through. Three days before my trip, they finally reached someone, asked about a refund or credit, and the hotel staff said “no” and hung up. I will never book with Sonesta again. No guest should have to deal with this level of unresponsiveness.

Staff was absolutely amazing. Karen is a joy and the most accommodating person I think I’ve ever met. I was in Chicago for an interview and I was nervous to get the job knowing I’ll be moving to Chicago, but after my stay I’m happy to move to Chicago if everyone has half the personality and disposition as Karen. I honestly thought Karen was the owner because she showed so much care. Property was also extremely clean with no issues there either. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a good experience at this hotel. Close to the airport, shuttle included, gas station for food and snacks were a few steps away, easy check in- the lady was nice. Only complaint is that our floor/room did smell like someone chained smoked in there for years. But I would definitely recommend this place, the pros outweigh the cons.

The number for the shuttle confirmed that the shuttle stopped running at 11:15pm so had to call a taxi to the hotel. The Taxi went to the wrong Sonesta Suites and when we arrived we were told that the shuttle was available but it was a third party and didn't have the name of the hotel on it. When we asked if the shuttle could take us to the correct hotel, only 7 minutes away, we were told "no". The person at reception said she would call us a taxi and it would take ten minutes. We waited 25 minutes and finally took an Uber. We asked if the hotel would reimburse us for one of the taxi or the Uber, we were told "no". We ended up arriving at the hotel close to 2am with a 6:45am wake up call. We ended up paying for a 4 hour and 45 minute nap and paying an additional $30+ for the taxi and Uber. The ONLY reason we booked this hotel was because it was close to the airport and offered a free shuttle. That was a complete waste and we could have stayed at a higher quality hotel, closer to the airport and for less money had any part of the ad or confirmation stated that the shuttle was still running and that how to identify it. Overall, it was extremely disappointing and costly for a low quality room with poor service. I will highly discourage anyone from staying with this hotel chain.

Quality stay for the price and proximity to O’Hare! Staff friendly & assistive. I’ve stayed several times. At times there is no coffee for your room pot or no decaf in the lobby. The bonus is there is a donut/sandwich shop next door along with a 24 hr gas station with convenience items. Again, fabulous value for the cost!

The price was cheap, so were the accommodations. The TV was tiny, and the hotel was a little run-down. Did not look as nice as photos. Bed was decent. The recliner was broken. Luckily it was just a quick overnight before heading out of the country.
