"The staff went above and beyond to help us arrange tours and guides. The room was super clean and comfortable, with a good kitchen. The property is gorgeous! Just like having a wildlife reserve just outside your door, including good hiking trails to the upper part of the property."

"Stunning views from restaurant and room across as far as lake Arenal. All the food offerings were fantastic from breakfast to evening meals using home grown and home made items. Regular supply of wildlife to keep you entertained. Only slight negative was a reasonably long walk up a steep hill to get to the nearest shops etc but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also be aware there is no A/C in the rooms if you are as lucky as we were with the weather."

"We absolutely loved out stay at Senda Monteverde. The grounds are gorgeous and have access to a beautiful hiking trail just out the back. They have a new pool and hot tubs that made our experience even more relaxing. Their restaurant is delicious. We ended up eating there for multiple meals and were happy with our choices every time. "This is a cozy establishment with a lot of characters. My room is very clean and roomy. A beautiful and quiet flowered ground right at my doorstep provides relaxation (with a glass of wine) at the end of busy days. A very cute residential baby goat kept me company sometimes. "We left after only one night because the bugs in the room were so bad we got eaten alive. Holes in the screens allowed large beetles into the room and the biting insects were so bad I couldn’t read on my tablet because it attracted the biting insects and my hands the next day were swollen with insect bites.
