"It does exactly what it says on the tin. I always stay here during Henley royal regatta. It’s not cheap and this time the room was a bit small, but generally it’s all good. Staff were super nice. For me, a bonus is having Waitrose and another supermarket just a few minutes away. Means I don’t have to buy hotel food."

"I booked this place because we desperately needed somewhere to stay for easy travel to Wembley. I was a bit uncertain about the reviews but honestly this place is fine. It's not incredible, but the staff were genuinely really nice and friendly, it's an easy 5-10 min walk from the train station, the rooms are run down and not that aesthetically pleasing but we found the bed wasn't too bad, and it was clean. "Room was very small and quite dirty, sheets didn’t look that clean. Shower didn’t work very well. For an emergency stay it’s fine but otherwise I’d suggest looking elsewhere. It’s a pub rather than a hotel and parking is a bit dodgy. Wouldn’t stay there again"

"This B&B was exceptional. The attention to detail was out of this world. It felt almost like staying in a top class hotel. Everything was laid on and Helen was superb in anticipating everthing I needed. And the breakfast - well - no words to describe how great it was. Again the attention to the smallest detail was fantastic. Will certainly stay here again if I'm in the area. Well Done!"

"Room was in a loft, VERY hot and stuffy. Asked for a fam or something, was not available. The bed was on wheels on hard floor, so kept moving throughout the night. VERY uncomfortable sleep. Bathroom had dark brown and purple marks on the mirror and hair on the floor. They have a pool table downstairs, but you have to pay £5 per hour for. They have a coffee sign outside, but no coffee. Would not stay here again, disappointing."

"We had a wonderful stay at The Crown. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were well-appointed, and the breakfast was delicious, with a variety of choices that pleased everyone in our group. Easy parking in the lot behind the inn. The location is perfect for exploring Amersham and the surrounding area. We'd happily stay again!"

"Overall pretty good. Older property, but updated in the right places. Needs finishing touches such as better sealant around water fixtures. An outdoor heated pool would be amazing. Also, the bar doesn’t have Aperol! Easy to fix."

"Offered upgrade to suite with either river or weir views and ended up near the bridge overlooking the entrance. That said the suite was lovely although 2 of the TV's werent working, a cupboard door was broken and there was insufficient toilet roll. tea/coffee selection was poor and what there was, was insufficient. If iy wasnt for the location which is amazing and the local town, the hotel would score badly."

"Reasonable hotel. Friendly staff. Room was a bit small as half the room was restricted by the eaves of the building. Room was clean, bathroom ok but shower strength was a bit weak. Bar barely stocked as most beers on tap not available. Overall an average hotel stay"

"Fantastic cosy room. Lovely shower , comfy bed. The check in is via phone and a key safe . The room was well stocked and very clean. Main problem is the doors to rooms don’t have quiet closing so when the ignorant other guests go in and out there is constant slamming of doors. We stayed in the room with exposed beams and it was very well thought out . Good for walking holiday due to location."
