"My review may appear to be all over the place but that’s the way the hotel was. The room was clean and updated. We were on the side of the Interstate and there was some road noise, but we had a sound machine so we were fine. The check-in was fast and friendly. The pool was not open yet, bummer! "It's a functional hotel. The staff is helpful. The room we were put in had some issues (fridge was totally dead, A/C didn't work very well, light in the bathroom flickered). They offered to move us to a new room but we didn't realize the AC couldn't keep up until overnight so we declined to change rooms for the fridge issue. So it's a case of "there may be some issues but the staff is very helpful in trying to fix things for you." I was given a couple of discount cards but they have to be used...

"The staff are wonderful. The elevator & hallways could be kept cleaner. The breakfast was hot, lots of variety & the breakfast area was clean. Daily housekeeping has to be requested. The room was clean, but the hotel shows some age. I do not think it was a $200 a night hotel, but I had to stay there due to a family event so that’s what I had to pay. "

"Upon arrival I waited a very long time for someone to come to the desk and assist me.. the property inside and out was clean and well maintained. Room was clean and comfy, however water pressure took 30 min to rinse my shoulder length hair and the rips in the shower curtain allowed water to escape the shower and soak the bathroom. Tub was also very slippery. Breakfast bar was stocked and fresh. Overall id stay again."

"Needed a little get-away not too far from home. This little cottage is perfect in so many ways. It's in a quiet, private neighborhood. Parking is convenient with circular drive. Don't skip the history of the area and home in the welcome notebook. We fell in love with the Crab Orchard Stone on the house.
