"We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at the Hotel, our standard room was of a very generous size, much bigger than a lot of hotels which was very pleasing. The Hotel throughout was spotlessly clean, and the food was excellent, the staff were very helpful, and the cost was very reasonable, there was always plenty of parking spaces in the car park, and we will definitely visits again, the Hotel exceeded our expectations."

"Unfortunately, no A/C in room, which is not unusual, but on a very hot day for England, the bathroom towel racks were in full heat and almost boiling. Neither we nor the hotel manager could shut them off. One single fan provided little/no relief and room temp was + 30c degrees and never got to a comfortable temp overnight. Open windows didn’t help much. Almost zero sleep. Couldn’t wait to leave in the morning. Shame as the room and bed were otherwise good. Just couldn’t enjoy either. Big...

"Well located with free parking so didn't need to use the car at all during our stay. Everything we wanted to do and see was within walking distance. The place needs refurbishment throughout the stairways and in particular, the bathroom of room 10"

"A fabulous pub / hotel! The staff were super friendly but very professional. The room we had was exceptional - a family room with double bed and 2 bunk beds (one of which housed our adult daughter without any problem). The new interior decorations were gorgeous - Pooky lights, artwork on the walls and corridors etc. Breakfast was magnificent (full vegetarian) and the bar in the evening was great with good choice of drinks and background music at the right level. "Not worth the price unfortunately. The beds were made up nicely and comfortable but the curtains have mould at the bottom and the curtain pole isn’t secure so it fell and hurt my hand when I went close the curtains. The bathroom had empty shower gel and soap dispensers. We went out for dinner but on returning the pub door was locked as they closed early. Luckily, a member of staff was still there to let us in and then kindly informed us that there is a back entrance too which we didn’t know...
