"This is a very smart hotel which is kept clean and tidy. It has a very nice bar, a restaurant and leisure club. I only used the bar but did eat there - the menu is very limited but fine for a bar. "It was a lovely, relaxing stay at the Mercure Walton hotel. Staff was friendly. It was very clean. The room was very nice, although bed was a hard. The breakfast buffet was great. "Unfortunately the shower in our room only delivered scalding hot water, the plug in the sink did not fit, the iron and ironing board which was attached to the wall fell off and the mirror was cracked. These were reported to the management who made a note of the issues so hopefully they will ensure these are all repaired.
