"I stayed at the AKA White House for just one night, and since it's an apartment hotel, my room was huge, as large or larger than my own condominium. It was beautifully furnished with a full kitchen, a powder room, washer/dryer, and closed off bedroom with full bath/shower. I was hardly able to enjoy all the amenities in a single night's stay, but I was impressed and the space was very clean. My only suggestion is that the shower/bath get updated, since it has a sliding door that's a bit...

"This was a wonderful place to stay in DC. It was a great place because it was was within walking distance of many of the DC sites. It was also close to many top-notch restaurants. "There are a ton of issues with the rooms. We had to be moved multiple times. It’s clearly an older hotel and they don’t keep up with the maintenance. There was also a party in the back garden area that you could hear throughout the hotel. Not a very good experience."

"The staff were friendly and helpful providing information about what was in the neighborhood. They even put out a stand of umbrellas on a rainy day! The extra space and having a kitchen area was a major plus.
On the negative side we found an empty water bottle laying in the closet, cellophane candy wrappers on the floor in the living room, and had to get the "engineer" up to the room to fix the TV. Bathroom is very small with no countertops to put toiletries and there is a counter outside the...

"We stayed there for the cherry blossom festival and is the perfect fit for a weekend getaway. I would also recommend this for solo business travelers. All amenities are included and if you need a night out there are a variety of local restaurants and bars that are excellent. I'll be going back!!!"
