"We arrived on a late Saturday evening flight, ready to go to sleep. The plug on the wash hand basin did not work so the basin would not drain. Staff were very concerned and apologetic, but could not call a maintenance person until Monday morning (we were only staying 1 night) and couldn’t offer a change of room as the hotel was fully booked. A very disappointing experience and the weekend price was poor value for money. I expect better from HIE."

"The breakfast was very good but the breakfast at the sister hotel a few doors down was a bit better, little classier with a large continental selection. The was clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. All of staff was very friendly and professional, they made some great recommendations for places to eat and things to see. The location was nice, it was a bit of walk to the castle but on the flip side you were not in the crowds."
