"Situated on the ground floor during a heatwave wasn’t great. We were left wondering if all the rooms in the hotel were full and perhaps they could have located us in a room with a window that opened. The young man who served us for the evening meal was very attentive and very polite which was nice to see. Not so the staff at breakfast."

"Convenient location in the Cotswolds and able to take a group of five friends in two rooms. Character-filled old and quirky inn. It was a heat wave while we were there but the rooms were quite comfortable with cross breezes and electric fans. The restaurant was hot though, so we opted for the pub in Barrington beside the river instead. Everything was clean and the staff were lovely. It’s a bit noisy beside the road, but not too bad. We were able to trickle charge our car overnight as well."

"I have stayed here before, but this time I stayed for three nights and will not be staying here again. The kitchen has recently been renovated and is now cordoned off, with a camera in place. However, people are still regularly taking food and drinks from the general fridge that do not belong to them. I had a whole pizza stored in the fridge, and someone clearly took a slice and turned over the remaining half. I raised this with the morning staff, but there was no apology and very little...

"Excellent hotel with very good rooms, quiet location on the edge of a large park. Plenty of parking and off beaten track so secure in that respect. Nice restaurant with varied menu choices; breakfast excellent. Staff welcoming and very helpful. I would definitely use this again in preference to others closer to or in the town but really need car to access."

"The room was very clean , comfortable bed and crisp white linen and towels. Lots of hot water for a nice hot bath . The lady on reception was very friendly and welcoming. We arrived late in the evening so didn't drink in the bar. The breakfast was brilliant, good quality produce and good coffee. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and attentive. We will definitely stay again when travelling south . Although rooms a little dated, they were very spacious , clean and neutrally...
