"Overall the property was beautiful set in stunning grounds, very quiet. The room was very clean & very comfortable the only downside was at breakfast, if was a buffet breakfast (help yourself) they had everything you could desire but the food was either Luke warm or cold & a full English should be piping hot. The staff to were very polite & very professional.would of given 5stars but a poor breakfast let the establishment down."

"If you can look past the area that the 'George Hotel' is in then you have a beautiful old building with a very interesting history behind it. Yes the property could do with some investment and renovation, but the building inside was clean and the rooms were clean. The staff were all very friendly. In its hayday this would have been a wonderful building"

"The room was clean, well furnished and had a cozy feel. We would stay here again, however, there were some minor issues. The toilet flush ran continuously and was audible at night. The cover over the shower plughole was broken and the lead on the kettle was too short and had to be used on the floor. Also the mattress was too firm for us."
