"Very nice motel — very clean! Since it is “retro”, it was nice to see metal lawn chairs & vintage decor in the office & the patios. I was expecting more retro decorations in the rooms, but our room was not too retro, unless you count a 1950’s dresser & 3 or 4 mall Johnny Cash signs nailed to the wall. Would I stay again — absolutely! "

"I was adventuring solo for a few days and stayed in the 3-bed hostel room at the Avon. The room was small but the bed was comfy, the amenities were nice (i.e. towels and toiletries in the bathroom), and the staff was welcoming and helpful. It is a funky, cozy, old-timey spot in the mountains, with a covered porch with rocking chairs so you can sit outside and look at the mountains winding down after a day of hiking or having your morning coffee. The hotel was full or nearly full so parking was a bit challenging but probably just enough spaces if you didn't mind parking further from your room."
