"Lovely friendly staff and super easy parking.
Our room was very hot and on checkout they said we should have had a fan but we didn’t . Pillows were like hard which I get some people may like but no alternatives in room . The floorboards were all very noisy and squeaky . We were worried we were disturbing people below . Also £5 to get any ice ! Seems a bit expensive ! It is a bit tired looking and our room could do with a refresh . But that said the staff were lovely and made the place ."

"There’s no air conditioning whatsoever, and Scotland does, despite its reputation, get hot in summer. There was no way to cool down the room, as the windows were stupidly restricted to open only two inches. Neither my wife nor I could sleep and this is not acceptable for a hotel that costs close to $300 a night"

"It looks like Hilton is working to improve the property, which is good. A couple things to note:
- lobby / entrance is beautiful, smells great.
- fabulous drinks at the bar (Bravo, Ellie!).
- Staff were lovely- truly great people, great customer service.
- room cleaning staff were really great too! Very nice and helpful.
- room was… ok. Step-in tub was uncomfortable (better placed grab bars please!), but the warming towel rack was nice.
- small touches were missing in the room (no pen and paper...

"Bed was comfortable, location was great. They downgraded us without asking so we had a double bed rather than a king and a much smaller room. This was disappointing as the reason I booked with them was the larger bed. It was also quite hot with the heater pipe and the window only opening three inches or so."

"There was some confusion when we arrived as other guests had checked in with the same surname so looked like our room wasn’t available but we were directed to the bar to enjoy a free drink while the situation was resolved which didn’t take long and we were issued with an apology. As we arrived early evening we left our bags in the room and stayed at the hotel for a delicious pizza.
