"I was in The Tack Room, which seems to be fitted out for disabled visitors. 2 single bed, but both too firm to be comfortable for me. Quirky mixture of old and a bit newer, but had charm and character. Very quiet location. Nice breakfast, though sausages were a bit peppery."

"Superb location and venue. Delightful pub with top cask ale and the food was sublime. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff were highly friendly and attentive. The only negative was the electric shower which was very temperamental and low pressure. A real treat though overall."

"I was in Newcastle to visit my niece, who is at university here. This hotel is incredible value for money. Location is great, room has everything you need and the bed is so comfy! Shower was powerful, everything very clean. One bedroom wall had scuffed paint, and I would have liked a cup or glass in the room for water at night, but none of this affected my stay. For the price of the room, I absolutely cannot fault it! Friendly staff, easy check-in and check-out, well stocked little shop...

"For the last 2 times we were checked in by a staff member who was not customer service or caring at all!! Very cold and not willing to help in any way. The first time we had 4 suitcases to take to our room and outside the hotel there was an airport trolley. My husband loaded it and as we passed the desk were told we couldn’t take it to the room. The location was fantastic It was a very short walk to the ocean and we thoroughly enjoyed all the lovely people and their beautiful dogs. Very dog friendly town. "
