"The staff, we found to be friendly, helpful and efficient.
Room bedding and towels were clean with replacements available if required. Rooms were serviced alternate days, but also on request.
Breakfasts were well presented with plenty of choices from hot, cereals, fruit, pastries etc
We had dinner most evenings, which we enjoyed, with a choice of 2 or 3 courses.
Also sandwiches were available if requested at lunch time in the bar."

"My room was on top floor, a bit warm but had a fan. Bathroom was nice and clean but the carpet in the rest of room needed a good vacuuming. Also quite dusty, but for the price, it was ok. Breakfast was traditional English. Coffee is never to my American tastes"

"Top level floors have rooms with slanted ceilings. This takes up air space and makes those rooms a bit awkward to move. The tanks up there make loud noises when filling too. May be a more pleasant stay if you book rooms on the 1-2 floor. Nice bar/brunch area downstairs and friendly staff. Near downtown."
