"First solo trip I've ever taken. Went Tuesday-Friday. Was looking quiet and relaxed, and that's exactly what Avila was. The lagoon was beautiful. Food in both restaurants was good. I considered a meal plan but didn't need it. If you eat three whole meals a day, then maybe worth it. One thing, not a complaint though, I was waiting for wait staff to come around and take a drink order on the beach but couldn't find any. "We had a great week at the Dolphin in Curacao. Great space for my husband, 9yo son, and me. Good location and the unit was great for our family. We did not use the pool, since we preferred to beach hop. The Reef Cafe was great for breakfast. Staff very helpful. Onsite parking and easy drive to Willemstad. Would recommend to friends.
