"We didn’t have hot water for the whole of our stay. We were told it would come back on after the first day and it did not. The next time they said it we wanted to shower we had to do it in another room, however they asked us to share this room key with other people which wasn’t what we thought when booking. "Stunning location but Very Small old TV in the room, sadly no hot water at 6pm one evening… a hot bath intended after a long hike…sadly din’t happen. Good food, good beer and friendly staff. Close to road so some road noise on a night and early morning."

Dog friendly but if you don't have dogs, don't worry, there is absolutely no sign dogs have ever been in the rooms, no lingering dog smells etc. I've stayed here twice and on the second stay was in a room facing the road. I'm a light sleeper but wasn't woken by the traffic at all. There's no Aircon in the rooms but you are provided with a fan so be aware if you run hot. "We stayed in a classic room, which was spacious and comfortable. You can park at the front of the hotel to unload then move your car. Breakfast had a varied choice although slow with the tea & coffee. "

"Castle House stands in the grounds of a small castle. It has an electric gated entrance and there are CCTV cameras everywhere - even on the hot tub. The property has recently gone through renovation and is very modern and well maintained throughout. TVs in bedroom 1, lounge and kitchen with full Sky packages, Kitchen has everything you need and hot tub and sauna were an excellent addition. Beds were very comfortable.
