"The room was clean and warm, as was the bathroom. The staff were very helpful. However, the bed was quite uncomfortable. The springs made noise and pressed into my back whenever I moved."

"Great hotel for a great price. Dog friendly but if you don't have dogs, don't worry, there is absolutely no sign dogs have ever been in the rooms, no lingering dog smells etc. I've stayed here twice and on the second stay was in a room facing the road. I'm a light sleeper but wasn't woken by the traffic at all. There's no Aircon in the rooms but you are provided with a fan so be aware if you run hot. "It feel very dated around parts of the hotel and the bed was rather noisy even when making slight adjustments in my sleep. Rooms were ridiculously hot when we arrived so slept with the fan on (in February) "

"Parking no problem and got a lovely warm welcome! Have stayed here on three different occasions and always had the best welcome and warmest hospitality! Room was comfortable and very clean , food was lovely and would highly recommend the Scotsman Pack to anyone. Will be definitely be returning at some time later this year! 😃😃"

"When we arrived, the lady at the reception was very polite and pleasant. However, in the morning when we were leaving, the staff were quite unfriendly and rude. Later, when we contacted the hotel to explain what had happened, they tried to accuse us of having three people stay in a double room. We were honestly surprised, because it was the hotel that checked the three of us into a room with two beds in the first place, but we chose not to raise this issue at the time."

"The bathroom was lovely and great toilet paper quality and towels, nice toiletries too. Nice tea tray and bed was comfy. However there was a gaping hole filled with cobwebbed pipes and the view out of the window was over bins. The room was cold but a portable heater was provided and sufficient. Dinner was great, the food was of an acceptable quality but the star of the show was the staff that served dinner. They were not intrusive, but were so helpful, a great steady pace of service. "Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was great apart from a tea stain on the skirting board. Ridiculous charge of £20 pp to use the pool after 9am and no spa treatments available, so basically we could have stayed anywhere rather than having a “spa break “. "
