Let's get straight to the point. I was grateful for the location as I had a party to attend. Upon arrival we walked up to see this was a pub and a lively one at that.
This is a place you stay if you just need a room for the night like we did. This is not a place to do your holiday. Bar tender was also the check in host - very nice man - and did his best because the pub was busy. Walked in our room - carpet is old old old - beds lumpy and our TV was off the wall and laying on one of...

"The deluxe room (labeled "Penthouse") was quirky being up several stairs and was in the roof with dormer windows. It had too much furniture in it for the size. Ok for just a 1-night stay. Breakfast wasn't anything to shout about and was overpriced. Overall, we thought that the price for the room and the breakfast was too high. we didn't use the spa or the pool (maybe they merit the price for some people). The location suited our purposes, but we probably won't stay there again."

The bed frame/fabric base was all stained, the floor was stained and the window latches all broken so the window was either wide open or shut. A couple of £1 hinges would fix it. Kids travelling. It was 2am after a long delayed flight. He understood the situation and quickly got us a room. He was the best. This man needs a raise or promotion or whatever."
