For us it just happened to be very near a wedding we were attending hence staying there and we paid £185 for a premium room for one night as we like our creature comforts including a decent size bed and mattress for a decent nights sleep. Sadly it didn't happen in our room 124. The bed was tiny, as the relatively nice staff readily agreed, telegraphing our complaint was one of many, many dissatisfied guests. "Whilst I probably wouldn’t have booked it if I’d realised it had no parking, the actual hotel was great."

"So sad to see a what was once probably a lovely hotel now looking very tired and in need of updating. No aircon, marked carpets and tired bathroom. The only plus was the lovely receptionist who was very professional. When we arrived for breakfast, 80% of the tables had dirty plates and cups left and no-one clearing anything away yet there were 3 staff members milling around the bar area. Coffee machine out of order too!"
