"The location was ideal for our trip, just a few minutes walk from the train station and close to the town. The Arran Lodged looked welcoming from the outside and didn’t disappoint once inside. Lovely homely decor and a wonderfully friendly greeting from Deneys. Check in was seamless and quick and we were shown to our room and shown the basics like how to operate the shower and where everything we might need was. The room was decorated to an exceptional standard, very spacious and well laid out with plenty of cupboard/wardrobe space, more than enough for our short stay. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was perfect and had little touches with regard to toiletries and all the things you might need and may have forgotten! After a great nights sleep breakfast lived up to the rest of the B&B, choices made the night before and everything cooked to perfection, more friendly chat with Deneys & Helga, and then time to say goodbye. We had a fantastic short and sweet stay at the Arran and if we’re ever in the area again, we’ll certainly be spending our night there. Thanks very much for looking after us and making our stay so enjoyable."

"Adult only hotel .parking was ok .The room was clean but standard for the price . Had robes and slippers, bottle of water and tea making facilities. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very polite throughout the hotel Higher management in the bar should be more active if mistakes are made and not wait for a complaint to be made. The spa was really lovely, but had just too many people and we had to sit on the floor with drinks , which wasn’t relaxing.Needs a bigger sitting area or even shelves to put drinks on . We tried the spa again early in the morning which was much better and quieter . Pool was a nice temperature Treatments were nice and staff were very friendly. Noisy floorboards above kind of spoils the relaxing music. For what we paid, everything was really expensive ."

"This hotel is appalling. It looks like rundown bldg inside. We checked in on Saturday evening and the reception is full of teenagers who looks shady. The room was below standard. There was no toilet papers, reception is closed because its weekend. Good thing we brought our own toilet papers. The bed are old and sunken. The carpets in the room and in the hallways looked filthy not to mention the smell of it . This hotel needs a full refurbishment. Am sorry, but my 2 nights stay in this hotel is not enjoyable as its giving me anxiety because of the people surrounding the area as well as the safety and security of this establishment is not guaranteed."
