"The room smelled like the air conditioner filter had never been changed. The shower curtain bottom was sopped with water. The carpet was covered in debris. The television didn’t work. The nightstand lamp didn’t work and the desk lamp was missing a bulb. The window blinds were covered in filth. It was really bad."

"One of the major things we look for in a hotel is safety, and we knew that staying on a college campus would be a nice safe place, and it was. We had a great view, the breakfast was definitely above what you usually get - we are vegan and there were actually things we could eat and even oat milk creamer. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the location was great. Parking was $6/day, which is very reasonable. The only negatives were one, it was a little hard to figure out how to get to...

"The front desk hostess upgraded us to a quieter 3rd floor room with 2 queen beds. Enjoyed our stay there; again friendly staff , clean premises (especially the bathroom) though tolerable musty odor probably from carpet."

"This was for a quick night sleep. Not going to lie, it felt a bit sketchy at first glance, but I was pleasantly surprised. The employee was friendly and helpful at check in. The room was clean and did not have a smoke smell. I will say the outside doors to our building had a card reader to get in but you did not need a card, which kind of creeped me out security wise but it was fine. They had a good selection of breakfast items, make your own waffle machine, eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, yogurt,...

"We had an amazing stay at Viking Village resort! It is an absolute hidden gem and truly felt like a fairytale escape. The cozy wooden houses are free-standing, which gives you excellent privacy, making them perfect for either a family trip or a solo getaway. I was so pleasantly surprised to find a fully equipped kitchen inside. The entire area is incredibly quiet with absolutely no outside noise—just total peace. "The place was fine--I don't demand much of a hotel. It is basically a place to sleep. However, more discerning travelers might have been upset by the fact that the supplemental door lock didn't work, one of the shelves in the closed was broken and the one day out of four that we had maid service, they seemed to only half finish the job. They may be very short of staff."
