"Nicely decorated and very clean, cramped and cold though. In a fairly grubby part of town. Very overlooked by other buildings into room. Staff assistance was prompt but there is no in person presence. Quiet at night and good black out blinds. "

"The room was as advertised. Staff were very helpful as I had a couple of unusual requests. Walking distance to beach, The Pier, shops and restaurants/pubs. Everything 5-10 minutes away. Breakfast was great."

"Not a big hotel but a very nice atmosphere. i had a small single room adequate for me clean and tidy with a nice shower. There was also in room an ironing board, iron and also an electricv fan fof the hot weather.Very nice polite and helpful staff. A special shout out to Mikey and Jamie nice guys Nice bar opens till late with an outside seating sea front view . I enjoyed the stay and would book here again."

"My Wife and I stayed for one night only with an Afternoon Tea booked for 2pm that day. Despite us arriving and a notifying staff of our presence at 12.45pm our Afternoon Tea did not arrive until 2.30pm. Apparently the kitchen staff were "very busy". When it did arrive, other than the scones and jam/cream, the Afternoon Tea was very basic with limited sandwiches and and an assorted selection of cheesecake only. The staff were apologetic about the delay but that was all. Similarly, at Breakfast...

"We stayed at this hotel on the hottest day of the year, and the experience was extremely disappointing. When we booked, we were guaranteed that a fan would be provided at the very minimum. However, when we arrived, there was no fan available. Instead of trying to help, the staff told us to “just deal with it” because the promise had apparently been made by the day-shift employees, not the night staff. That is not an acceptable way to treat guests, especially in such uncomfortable conditions....

"Check in is online and painful including the need to upload ID for all guests, and installing the app. The hotel and room PIN Is sent ahead of time and works well. The room is functional and comfortable, everything you need for a stay. Bathroom well appointed with a great shower. Breakfast in the cafe next door with good menu choices. On site staff super helpful, even though it is all supposed to be online. Parking in Brighton is difficult and expensive so see if you can sort it out before you...

"A lovely stay in a grand old seafront building. A little rough around the edges where the building is showing its age but not in a particularly off putting way. Stylish decor in common areas, spacious family room for 3 of us. Amenities a little older and more basic (a fan instead of aircon, open rails instead of wardrobes, slightly older carpet with a few stains etc), but all clean and functional. Lovely breakfast with a beautiful view, and kind helpful staff."
