"This was our first time in Nags Head! Surf Side hotel did not disappoint. From the moment we checked in we had a great experience. We were celebrating my mom's 70th birthday and her small welcome gift in the room was such a beautiful surprise!! The hotel was very clean and all the staff were very helpful and accommodating to our needs!! "The room was adequate. There was only one elevator working for seven floors . There are two elevators, but it was told to us that “they’ve had to repaired multiple times”. Breakfast is not as most comfort Inns. Limited types of foods but nothing for any diet restriction such as a diabetic. Pets were welcome, but people were allowed for their pets to roam without leash which multiple times , saw one relieving himself on the deck on multiple areas and the other was trying to go into rooms. "Love. Love, loved our stay at Tranquil House Inn! Our room was quaint, very comfortable and perfectly located on the water. We had dinner in the 1587 Restaurant and it was fabulous. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"Great location. They ran out of towels for two days and they only gave us 3 towels for a family of 4. That should never happen at a Holliday inn. People need clean towels no exceptions on that. Breakfast was ok. Rooms were clean. Great location."

"First time staying at this establishment, was clean and presentable. Room was of adequate size , the larger refrigerator with ice maker was very helpful. Access to the beach was very convenient. Plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Breakfast spread in the morning is kid friendly and family oriented. Only downfall was the pools indoor and outdoor close at 10 pm would like to have seen 24 hours ."

There was a parking issue when we arrived cause others parked incorrectly and they were quick to get things fixed and had everything all set up for snacks and drinks. We stayed in Suite 4 and had perfect view of the beach and could be on the sand within minutes.
