Motel 6 West Des Moines, IA
The sheets had holes in them and were stained. The floor was dirty. The window had air coming in it all night and whistled. The bathroom light quit working in the middle of the night. The trash receptacles in front of the building were both overflowing with trash on the ground.

I had to extend my stay several times and the staff accommodated me just fine. Also the whirlpool, sauna and steam room and fitness/exercise rooms in the lower level are excellent [the sauna and steam weren't always on and heated up when I went down but maybe I was the first for the day = I didn't ...
