"The Hotel is in great location and great view, rooms are clean and well maintained. Over all a good stay in town. Two items to consider, there is no a parking assigned for Hotel guest. Park at train station "park and ride". Beware, the hotel controls the AC in some rooms at night (for efficiency), ours turned off automatically, we had to wake up twice to turn on the unit during our summer stay. I'm sure this would not be a problem in winter months but with summer and windows not operational it...

"Beautiful gardens, the room was not in the big historic home but an added on building to the side. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious in the restaurant. The only problem was the room was very hot and it made sleep difficult. This was with a fan on and the window open as far as it could be opened. I would return but only in cold months"

"I enjoyed the stay at the Hotel and had no issues with the room or the hotel service. There were 2 matters which i didn't like, the £15 per night for resident parking but accepted that. The worst element was, on both early mornings was anti social behaviour outside at the Hotel side, early morning about 4am, a numbers of people were congrogating outside, being summer we had the windows open and our sleep was very disturbed. The individuals were not just passing by, they were loitering in one...

"Self check in with info on a chalk board. Initially didn’t see the board and no one around. Didn’t meet anyone in person during stay. Room wasn’t that clean. Cobwebs and dust, old water bottle down back of bed, nuts on the carpet. Shower gels on top of shower. Nice setting, safe and quiet. Nice cafe downstairs. Room was spacious with character."

"The hotel is in a lovely location and has impressive gardens and beach access, which were ideal for us to walk our dog. The room was quite basic but clean and comfortable for one night. Check-in process was easy and the staff were friendly. The free breakfast was not of a very good standard.
