"We understood parking was available on site. This is not the case. Bank Holiday weekend, we were told to try our luck at street parking. Staff in bar were very nice. To be honest, I was violently ill after eating seafood pasta and one glass of wine at the restaurant. Although I was not angling for anything, I thought I should mention it at checkout and was told it takes 24 hours to get sick from the food. ( Not according to my system). "Stayed in the deluxe room and at over £100 for the night with no breakfast, I did expect better. Drain in the shower had smell on arrival, but sorted quickly. Went to get into bed that night and the frame the mattress sits on came away from the frame and collapsed, so at had to "re-make" the bed. Morning noticed in the shower that there was black around the shower hose and dials and also ran out of toilet paper in the night (silly dispenser type thing on wall) with no spares. "Lovely hotel but a bit 'tired '. Some toiletries left on top of the shower from previous room guests. Biscuits in the room would be a nice touch. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was excellent catering for all needs. Parking could have been signposted better. Access to hotel from the carpark was up a precarious set of steps, especially if carrying luggage.
