"Very nice hotel, convenient for castle and cathedral. Great garden room, bathroom could do with a little touch up. All areas look like some update was done, but more was needed. Good breakfast, gf bread and sausages. All in all I would not hesitate to stay again."

"Friendly and efficient staff. My room was clean and comfortable, but with one major problem: no room lighting apart from at the desk/dressing table and tiny bedhead reading lights. This is totally ridiculous, and it needs at least a standard lamp by the table & chairs. The evening meal was good."

"Parking is in The Lawns car park and at £10 for 24 hours is reasonably priced. Check in was very welcoming and everything explained, including the refurbishment being carried out. The room was lovely, as was the bathroom. Mugs on the tea/coffee tray are a great idea, hotel cups are often far too small! The bed was very comfortable but unfortunately I had trouble getting to sleep as the staff from the restaurant across the courtyard sat outside after closing, talking and laughing until...
