"Great location, large clean rooms, friendly staff, dated with noisy windows. Comfy bed, good shower, excellent WiFi. Close to NEC, train station and airport. "

"The room was clean but it wasn't until I went to bed, that I noticed a slight oder which smelt like cigarettes on the pillows, which was off putting. Plus I wasn't able to turn down the heat in the room, which was at a constant 20deg, in addition there was a constant noise of a fan outside. All of which made sleeping difficult, I got about 2hrs if any? Breakfast, the bacon was hard, like plastic. It was for only one night and did get it on a cheap deal, just as well as given the cost for parking...

"The room I was given,was not ready and not cleaned by the previous occupant. It was bit of inconvenience having to go back to checking desk and ask for a different room. In the bathroom, one of the lightbulbs was out. I couldn't see the hairdryer, apparently it was in the wardrobe,in a bag... Gym facilities - 1 broken running machine and rower. For such a big hotel it really is a shame to have such small gym with one barbell! The staff in the gym not very helpful, I had no idea where to go, and...

"The room was very clean. Staff envy over and and above for anything you needed. Friendly staff. Pool and and hot tub was nice and the changing rooms were clean. "

"Have stayed here many times over the years. Staff always excellent, good breakfast offering, clean rooms and comfy beds, handy location for the NEC and dog friendly. The reception areas are fine, but the bedrooms and hallways are looking a bit tired and could do with a refurb or refresh. "

"The breakfast was excellent, wide range of food, ordered an omelette that was delivered to our table hot and packed with ingredients. We were let down by the room, could hear passing cars, and faulty air conditioning and bath plug. Was in Birmingham for a convention in The Vox, so only had a 5 minute walk around the lake. Reception and Resturant Staff were friendly and welcoming. "

"This was an excellent hotel for our needs as a stopover for crufts nec.The room was clean the food was good all the staff were excellent no problems would book again if going to Birmingham. "

"Hotel and room were very nice, however a hidden parking cost was not appreciated. Was told I needed to pay for parking at reception on arrival, when I mentioned to manager(?) that evening that it showed that parking was free both on Expedia and their official website he said it was a new charge that they obviously hadn't updated online, but was given no choice but to pay or leave (hotel is on a main road near no other options!)"
