"We stayed here over a very busy May Day Bank Holiday. While we found hotel parking a bit pricey, we opted to park in the Premier Inn up the road, which was a convenient walk or a quick e-bike/scooter ride away. The apartment was well-equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen, and the property was generally clean, though the bathroom did have some minor mould and water staining. While the check-in staff were a bit distant (neglecting to mention the local bus service), the real issue was...

"This was our third stay here and it didn't feel as good this time. Room was nice but would have benefited from a deep clean. Pool is great but jacuzzi was out of order and every time we collected a pool key card it didn't work and we had to traipse back to reception. Breakfast options are good, but things ran out and were slow to be replenished, only one coffee machine was working so a big queue, and our table wasn't cleared in the whole time we sat there. Location is helpful as there is parking...

"Lovely stay for two nights with our children. Unfortunately one of my daughters was under the weather and the staff were so helpful grabbing dried foods to settle her stomach. Incredibly caring staff and a beautiful setting highly recommend!"

"The hotel was lovely very nice room and spa facilities were good. Pool a bit small but perfect for a dip. Unfortunately the music from the reception area was booming all day and night so I got little to no sleep. Very disappointing when on a business trip and needing to be well rested the next day. By 11.30 pm I went to reception and asked them to turn it down. Originally I had thought it was some kind of disco from the restaurant it was so loud! "Lovely new hotel in renovated, historical surroundings! My room was gorgeous, the shower was large and had really nice product, the staff were helpful (although there was some confusion about how often the room got cleaned and it if was possible to request a greater frequency). Note: they need to staff more people for the restaurant. It's a beautiful place but if there's only one person managing orders, billing, and the espresso bar, they're going to be stressed.
