"We stayed in Rooms 246 and 247 on 09/26/2026, and both rooms had clogged toilets. We had no properly functioning toilets during our stay. We reported the problem to the front desk and were told we could not be moved because the hotel was too full. Their solution? "Nicely located between the Caverns and downtown Carlsbad dining and entertainment experiences."

"Large room, no stairs"

"Very pleasant hotel, with friendly staff, exceptional hospitality, and we especially appreciated the water and coffee available in the lobby."

"Would stay here again"

"There are roaches in the restaurant !!!!!!!!!!! That’s why there is no hot breakfast being served!! These are basic cleanliness and maintenance issues that should have been addressed before giving the room to another guest. Extremely disappointing. I would not recommend staying here."

"Attentive to our need the toilet didn't work so they gave us another room"

"The highlight was meeting Roger, the front desk attendant. He is so incredibly personable and welcoming! We thoroughly enjoyed talking with him —he definitely deserves a raise or promotion. The property itself could use some work —painting at the least. One of the two rooms rented didn’t even have a single lock on the door. The other room could have used a little more attention while cleaning —someone’s hair was all over the floor. The pool was closed and looked like it had been for a long...
