"As always, the Lake Lure Inn was a delight. They used to have continental breakfast but weren’t offering during this stay. Always enjoyed the continental breakfast and it added value to the many stays there. We look forward to its return. In its absence we thoroughly enjoyed delicious breakfasts at a fairly new restaurant called The 828."

"First I want to say this place was amazing, it was more then I expected. I wish I could have more time to spend there, however I will be returning next month. I went for Father's Day weekend with the grandkids. We had everything we needed to feel like home. Beds were comfortable.The upstairs and downstairs gave me and Grandpa some private time away from the grandkids. The private balcony, I could go on and on all the way to the private beach which was a short drive inside the resort, I walked...

"The air conditioner did not work in our room and in the morning there were dead cockroaches in the bathroom floor"

"This is incredibly frustrating, my flight was delayed, even though I had paid a deposit on the room, I got in 12 hours later than expected. When I checked in, they told me that they not only charged me, but that they gave my room away. Neither a refund nor solution was given. So not helpful, I called Expedia and they told me it was up to the discretion of the hotel. NOT A VERY GOOD AREA, either. I believe it was the owner who is at the front desk, so word to the wise… STAY AWAY"

"Quiet, peaceful place, our deck felt like we were in a treehouse. Outstanding hosts, cabin was cozy but plenty of room for the two of us. Definitely a do-again."

"Some say 'dated' - We say vintage. This place was so charming- like a time capsule of a simpler time capturing serenity and romance. Wonderful kitchen, with enough cooking and serving equipment. The big hot tub (fits 2) in its own room was a delightful throw back and worked beautifully. The bed was very comfortable. The view from the deck amazing and the resort grounds breathtaking. We stayed two nights as a stop between PA and FL. We are considering a dedicated vacation just to go back."

"An amazing stay in the beautifully quiet Blue Ridge mountains. Picturesque Lake Lure is only a short stroll away. Chef Richard prepares a wonderful gourmet breakfast each morning and this definitely not your basic B&B but all at very reasonable prices. Thank you all. I cant’t wait to return."

"Beautiful property with so many added touches. Complimentary coffee at coffee bar , very generous butler pantry, koozie’s to take home . Everything was top notch ! We enjoyed the front porch as well!"
