"Leider ist das Hotel insgesamt deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und entspricht aus unserer Sicht nicht mehr dem Preisniveau. In unserem Zimmer ließen sich einige Fenster nicht öffnen, was den Komfort spürbar beeinträchtigte. Das Badezimmer verfügte über eine relativ hohe Badewanne mit Duschmöglichkeit, was insbesondere für mobilitätseingeschränkte Gäste problematisch sein kann. Zudem fehlte eine Toilettenbürste. Beim Frühstück war die Kaffeemaschine außer Betrieb, und es wurde kein kurzfristiger...

Our most recent stay was due to a family emergency which became more complicated and protracted than expected. Staff at The Victoria couldn't have been more accomodating to our constant requests to extend our stay and were kind enough to jiggle thier bookings to allow us to keep the same room throughout to reduce our stress. "The family room was lovely and well equipped for 2 adults and 2 children. A couple of niggles in that the blind was broken in the bathroom and the rubbish bins were a bit on the small side. Staff were really lovely and nothing was any trouble. Breakfast was delicious and we had 1 meal there which was great. Lovely setting next to the river. Would highly recommend"

"The Lodge was so surprising. Being on the Cathedral grounds, it evokes a sense of tranquility and calm. That feeling does not extend past the walls of the ground. The breakfasts were amazing. The staff was most accommodating. Everything was within the radius of the Lodge and walking to places was easy. The only thing that disappointed was that the standard double room has a tiny bed which was caused a snug bed-share challenge. It worked out. We're glad we chose that accommodation."
