"Casa Mar was absolutely beautiful. My wife and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary with a week away and we would definitely do it again. An added perk we didn’t even realize until arriving was that this house is associated with the Awa hotel brand and you get all the perks of the hotel that is within a 5 minute walk. We loved everything about the experience. Manuel and Maria took great care of us as well!"

"The staff was extremely nice, the garden the shared areas were beautiful. Inside the room the beds were terrible, the didn’t loook clean and there were too many little ants all over the bed. The sheets were always sandy and they were. Or clean. "

"The hosts, Augustin and his grandma were wonderful. You need to take a taxi from the main square (as walking would take 20/25 min) but the ride is only 5 minutes and cost 50 pesos. The room was fine, the bed comfortable. The only thing was that there was no water coming from the bathroom sink but there was another sink in the room which worked (and the shower worked well).
I would say it was a little overpriced (although it included breakfast) but all in all, it was perfect for an overnight...

"We enjoyed our stay at La Casa del Alux in February and would stay there again. It was a very positive, though not perfect, apartment in a quiet part of the town on a lagoon.
We liked the cleanliness of the apartment, the functional air conditioner, the very pleasant housecleaner Bety, the location, and the nice balcony with a hammock. The apartment is three blocks from the beach and two blocks away from Bilu, the best breakfast/brunch restaurant we found on the island. It was an easy 10...
