"​I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding our stay from May 15th to 17th, 2026. What was meant to be a relaxing family retreat resulted in severe distress, unacceptable hygiene failures, and unexpected financial costs. ​Upon a late check-in on Friday, our room was infested with moths and insects crawling on the carpet. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and professional, doing their absolute best to reassign us to the 7th floor. Disappointingly, this second room suffered...

"Nice looking hotel. Rooms really nice , bed comfortable, nice bathroom with good shower pressure. Decent wifi speeds. Full English breakfast, loads of choice, we'll presented. Would recommend if you're playing at Dusk till Dawn poker club, 15 min drive away. Loads of parking"

"Simple with basic but adequate facilities but secure and reasonably quiet. Narrow but comfortable beds. Check in staff efficient and polite. Good tea & coffee facilities. Excellent and helpful cleaning staff. Good location for night attractions, dining and drinks. Excellent bus and tram links. Main problem was only one lift working...and that was temperamental. It does not help to see a sign " be healthy take the stairs" when you are oaps and need to carry suitcases up several flights."

"The Hex Hotel is a Basic hotel on the luxury side. What I mean is there are no frills but it is a great place to stay particular when visiting the Yorkshire Wildlife park. It makes the stay very pleasant being able to relax after your visit or before your visit to the park. Two nights is ideal visiting the YWP in the middle. "Check in at the hotel was easy. I had prebooked car parking with them. Their car park is limited to average size cars. The NCP is next door for large/SUV types. The room and hotel was spotless during our stay. Breakfast is a huge choice from full English, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and pastries. All really good. So glad I stayed here, I would definitely recommend."

"Plenty of parking, room nice and quiet. Mattresses were comfy but the single beds felt very narrow also the legs of the bed were angled out and because of the dark colour too, a few stubbed painful toes! Food was a bit on the pricey side £8 for a portion of sweet potato fries! Breakfast was nice, enough choice. And the shower was nice and powerful. "

"So much better than I expected. The bar area, restaurant and huddle areas were all so beautifully done and the food and drink lprices were very reasonable. Plenty of electric car charging available. "Nice standard aparthotel with basic cooking facilities, including a two ring hob and microwave that did much more if you have the know how. Dishwasher but only one tablet! Parking needs visit to Reception and very tight small spaces underground. Well located for centre. Free coffee and tea in tap along with breakfast croissants."

"I booked a twin room but it was made up as a double so had to get this changed. Requested a walk in shower but got a shower room with glass walls! Staying with my 90 year old mother so was not happy with this. Hotel looked lovely from outside but inside decor was very bland and boring. Gardens had not been yended to and grass not cut. Having informed the hotel i was staying with my 90 yo mother and requested a downstairs room they put us at the far end of the hotel so we to walk a ling way....
